Stafford songstress, Vesta, burst on the scene in full force with her highly anticipated 2017 project, How Singer’s Cry.
The project brought the talented singer to the forefront of attention in not only VA, but in many major outlets throughout the country. Her overwhelming transparency and pain in her music was only matched by her ability to create nothing short of modern day ballads that incited a level of serenity and happiness in her listeners.
The project was lauded to no end and continued to get spins since the day it dropped, as fans anxiously awaited more.
Vesta finally broke her silence recently after many teasers and hints at upcoming music. This time she got some help from northern VA singer, Giovani Marcia, on the tranquil “Purpose”.
The single finds Vesta in her usual therapeutic space of her music, as she openly talks about the relateable story of two distant lovers who both battle within themselves, thus projecting this into their relationship.
She pleads and yearns for his heart fully, an all encompassing and vulnerable sort-of love which they can both get lost in. To which Giovani responds back with his own insecurities and how her actions and his past have made him cautious of giving himself.
Vesta and Giovani really outdid themselves with this one, creating a soundscape and open conversation many of us can relate to and get lost in.
Who do you love? Who pushes you? Please let them know, they give you Purpose.
